Job Summary

Generate and manage construction cost estimates across project phases, supporting business development, pre-construction, and construction. Lead schematic cost model estimates using historical benchmarking, review tender documentation for risks and ambiguities, and produce consistent inputs for profitable tendering. Perform quantity take-offs (manual and digital), coordinate scope clarifications with clients, support site inspections, and reconcile estimate variances while maintaining strict commercial confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

•Generate and manage construction cost estimates, valuation of engineering work, and budgets across project scopes and phases.
•Lead schematic cost model estimates using historic benchmarking and industry experience for detailed cost forecasting.
•Review tender documentation to identify ambiguities, risks, and key issues; prepare consistent man-hour, equipment, subcontractor, and material cost inputs for tendering.
•Support and assist the Estimation Manager with quantity take-offs (manual and digital) and coordinate scope changes, clarifications, and questions during bidding.
•Conduct site inspections to understand tender conditions and assess risks, and reconcile between estimates while explaining variance cost drivers.

Key Requirements

•Minimum 8 years working experience, with 5 years relevant experience in cost estimating.
•Experience producing construction cost estimates by analyzing drawings, specifications, and other tender documentation.
•Knowledge of cost estimating packages such as CCS (Candy) is a distinct advantage.
•Extensive proficiency with MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, and QS-related software, plus web research/Internet.
•ERP knowledge with preferably SAP functional skills; familiarity with construction systems and estimating/project management is required.
