Key Responsibilities

  • •Ensure contractor operations adhere to the Installation Environmental Management System (EMS), Installation Energy Plan, and sustainability requirements affecting contract performance.
  • •Manage environmental and industrial regulatory compliance for one or multiple facilities at NSA Annapolis, including compliance with federal, state, and local environmental safety regulations.
  • •Develop, plan, and implement environmental, health and safety policies and procedures (chemical safety, ergonomics, illness/injury prevention, building safety), and oversee employee training programs.
  • •Administer licensed hazardous and radioactive waste disposal and monitor waste handling; ensure corrective action is taken where hazards exist.
  • •Oversee environmental deliverables and reporting for government stakeholders, including audits/assessments and energy/water reduction and renewable energy initiatives.

Key Requirements

  • •Must be able to obtain and maintain a favorably adjudicated National Agency Check Investigation (NACI).
  • •Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering, Environmental Sciences, or related field (preferred).
  • •Minimum two years’ experience with environmental procedures on Base Operations Support (BOS) services contracts (or equivalent) with contract value of $10M+ per year.
  • •Familiarity with Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and knowledge of environmental regulations and federal energy laws/policy applicable to BOS or equivalent installation facilities and utilities operations.
  • •Experience implementing an installation Energy Plan and EMS under ISO 14001 (or DoD equivalent), plus utilities-intensive operations including steam, chiller plant, water, and wastewater systems.
