Job Summary

Perform ASTM-standard concrete and raw material tests under the Technical Services Manager to ensure products meet specifications. Conduct and lead scheduled testing at batch plants, collect samples, manage and deliver test cylinders to a research lab, and verify compliance with ASTM/ACI standards. Calibrate and maintain lab equipment, document and report results accurately, support customers with technical inquiries, and deliver safety training while maintaining clean, safe work environments.

Key Responsibilities

•Conduct seven ASTM tests on plastic concrete samples, including slump, air, yield, temperature, and moisture analyses.
•Lead and instruct batch plant teams in scheduled testing and quality procedures.
•Collect and sieve rock and sand samples, and manage and deliver test cylinders between batch plants and the research lab.
•Ensure compliance with ASTM specifications and ACI standards in testing and reporting; calibrate laboratory equipment.
•Document and report test results, provide professional customer support, and conduct safety training including slump school.

Key Requirements

•At least two years of experience in concrete quality control testing and mix design (preferred).
•ACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician certification (highly preferred); Aggregate Testing and Hardened Properties certifications (a plus).
•Proficiency with ASTM and ACI testing procedures, including equipment calibration and analysis of results.
•High school diploma or equivalent required; some related college coursework preferred.
•Comfortable using computers to record data and generate reports.
