Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage and prioritize contract review workload across supported business(es) in line with business requirements.
  • •Oversee application of Group Legal and Commercial standards and help implement efficient ways of working to maximize value and minimize risk.
  • •Provide direction, strategy, and leadership to direct reports (if applicable) and maintain key internal interfaces.
  • •Draft, review, and negotiate confidentiality agreements/NDAs, client contracts, MSA’s, and MOUs/exclusive arrangements.
  • •Advise on contract interpretation, contract qualification risk balance, and support timely commercial deliverables and joint venture/partnering agreements.

Key Requirements

  • •JD (or international equivalent).
  • •Currently licensed, admitted to practice, and in good standing in the Canada and US.
  • •4-8+ years of contract review, drafting, and negotiation in a service company environment.
  • •Expert knowledge of contract terms, contract principles, and compliance with contracting policies.
  • •Experience leading and managing a team; supervisory experience is desirable (1-4 years).
