Job Summary

Support structural engineering delivery for building and infrastructure projects in the public and private sector. Assist with collecting and analyzing site and design data (surveys, blueprints, GIS, geotechnical inputs), conduct basic research and inspections for code and permit conformance, help develop design requirements and modeling approaches, and produce accurate technical reports and documentation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and help assess and mitigate project risks.

Key Responsibilities

•Assist with collecting, compiling, and analyzing data from physical work sites, surveys, blueprints, GIS, subsurface utility information, and geotechnical inputs for project development and construction.
•Perform basic structural engineering work including research and inspections of proposed and existing site conditions to determine conformance with rules, standards, and permits.
•Assist with developing technologies, monitoring devices, modeling techniques, and design requirements to support safety and functionality of end-users and transportation systems.
•Write technical reports and documentation using sketches, calculations, electronic systems, spreadsheets, software, and 2D/3D illustrations.
•Assist with risk identification and assessment and support work plan preparation and coordination of site work, collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
•1 to 3 years of relevant post-education experience.
•Knowledge of structural engineering principles, practices, and design/build processes for project work.
•Familiarity with infrastructure planning, design, and construction management (rehabilitation and new design).
•Experience using discipline-specific design software and producing accurate technical documentation, including 2D/3D illustrations.
