Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and develop a team of engineers, providing cultural, technical, and hands-on leadership.
  • •Provide regular coaching and technical mentorship to the team and broader engineering department.
  • •Take direct responsibility for the quality and delivery of the team's work and ensure end-to-end availability of critical data services.
  • •Drive work based on goals and measurable outcomes that are accountable to KPIs.
  • •Collaborate with management and product teams to plan, estimate, and prioritize roadmap objectives and identify opportunities and risks.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or a related field
  • •5+ years of experience building distributed system architecture, from whiteboard to production
  • •Strong programming skills in Python, and SQL or SparkSQL
  • •Versatility across data engineering including data stores (ClickHouse, ElasticSearch, Postgres, Redis, Neo4j), data pipelines (Airflow, DBT, Luigi, Azkaban, Storm), streaming (Spark, Kafka, Flink), cloud infra (Docker, Terraform, Kubernetes, Datadog) and large data processing
  • •AI-native mindset with ability to leverage AI/ML tools to accelerate productivity and problem solving
