Key Responsibilities

  • •Develop and deliver maintenance craft training for energy center personnel, including apprentices and journeyman.
  • •Schedule training, provide hands-on and classroom instruction, prepare and grade exams, evaluate performance, and implement remedial measures.
  • •Interpret welding procedure specifications (WPS) and ensure weld inspections and quality checks for welding integrity and compliance.
  • •Design, build, or procure training aids and maintain student safety, conduct, development, appraisal, and required documentation.
  • •Review and revise training content regularly, coordinate with learning stakeholders, and support corrective action investigations to prevent recurrence.

Key Requirements

  • •Five or more years of relevant experience (e.g., Journeyman Electrician, Technician, or Machinist; utility or industrial maintenance; certified repairman; or developing/delivering adult technical training).
  • •Experience developing and delivering adult training is preferred.
  • •Strong mechanical background with emphasis in pipefitting, welding, and welding codes is preferred.
  • •Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is preferred.
  • •Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, with the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize assignments and use Microsoft applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio).
