Job Summary

Join the Timaru team to deliver practical, sustainable civil and transportation projects across South Canterbury. You’ll manage and coordinate engineering work, including investigations, inspections, analysis, and detailed design. Prepare reports, drawings, specifications, and construction documentation, and support construction supervision and reporting. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams while strengthening client relationships and contributing to a safety- and quality-focused team culture.

Key Responsibilities

•Manage and deliver civil engineering projects to achieve technical quality, programme, budget, and client satisfaction objectives.
•Coordinate project activities, monitor financial performance, and support invoice and project reporting requirements.
•Carry out investigations, inspections, analysis, and design to develop solutions for client challenges.
•Prepare reports, drawings, specifications, schedules of quantities, and contract documentation for construction activities.
•Assist with supervision and monitoring of construction works and support successful project delivery.

Key Requirements

•Relevant tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
•Ideally 5+ years of professional experience in civil engineering, transportation, or infrastructure projects.
•Experience delivering engineering design and project management outcomes in a consulting environment.
•Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, technical standards, and best-practice project delivery.
•Experience using engineering design software such as Civil 3D (or similar design tools).
