Key Responsibilities

  • •Perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM), DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles in a mobile/field environment.
  • •Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical/electronic, and related systems (including engine, transmission, brakes, cooling, and steering).
  • •Inspect, test, and road test defective equipment to diagnose malfunctions and determine accurate repair actions.
  • •Manage parts inventory and equipment on the company-issued service truck, including periodic reconciliation and obtaining parts from vendors as needed.
  • •Complete DOT forms and repair orders (with photos) using company standards and ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental policies.

Key Requirements

  • •High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ experience in a related field (or alternative experience/education combinations).
  • •Possess and supply a set of required hand tools to perform job duties.
  • •Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) within 18 months; position follows DOT/FMCSA regulated requirements.
  • •Have a current DOT medical card with sufficient validity or be able to complete a DOT physical prior to employment.
  • •Be at least 21 years old and hold a valid driver’s license with ability to obtain/maintain a Driver Qualification File.
