Key Responsibilities

  • •Efficiently and accurately perform teller functions, including deposits, withdrawals, posting to general ledger accounts, loan payments, and cashier’s checks.
  • •Cash and instrument handling: cash checks and negotiable instruments, examine documents for endorsements and negotiability, and verify and balance cash daily while detecting/resolving discrepancies.
  • •Process financial transactions such as transfers between accounts, savings bonds, cashier’s checks, traveler's checks, official checks, money orders, and credit card cash advances.
  • •Operate the online teller terminal, maintain customer information privacy, and consistently follow teller procedures and compliance requirements.
  • •Provide courteous customer service, offer/ cross-sell bank products and services, complete required reports/records, and attend meetings/training as scheduled.

Key Requirements

  • •High school graduate or equivalent.
  • •At least one year of related experience/cash handling preferred; previous teller experience preferred.
  • •Good math skills and good typing skills.
  • •Ability to operate business equipment and computer applications (adding machine, typewriter, copy machine, coin and money counting machines, telephone).
  • •Understanding of bank operations preferred and consistent adherence to teller procedures and compliance requirements.
