Key Responsibilities

  • •Review work orders to plan tools, equipment, time, manpower, parts, and supplies; use SAP to create work orders and respond to emergency calls.
  • •Perform hands-on maintenance and equipment repair by monitoring machinery, disassembling and troubleshooting mechanical equipment, replacing and reassembling parts, and testing functionality.
  • •Install and maintain essential systems including mechanical equipment and piping, electrical controls, and utilities such as electrical, water, gas, and drain lines.
  • •Use welding, cutting, and sheet metal work to fabricate replacement parts and maintain pumps, packaging, slicing equipment, and other mechanical systems.
  • •Follow safety protocols including LOCKOUT/TAGOUT and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) to maintain a safe, compliant environment.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or GED and 1+ years of related experience/training in industrial mechanical maintenance or food manufacturing, or 4 years of direct experience in the same environment.
  • •Vocational diploma, technical diploma, or associate degree in technical maintenance or a vocational school (preferred).
  • •Ability to function effectively in a team environment and interact with personnel and outside contractors.
  • •Ability to operate a forklift, genie lift, scissor lift, or other powered industrial trucks (PIT).
  • •Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions, including reading and executing work orders and writing daily reports.
