Key Responsibilities

  • •Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care for surgical patients in line with evidence-based practice, organizational policies, and regulatory standards.
  • •Deliver safe and effective perioperative nursing care across the pre-operative, intra-operative, and immediate post-operative phases.
  • •Prepare and maintain the operating theatre environment, ensuring availability and safe use of surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.
  • •Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary teams to support high-quality surgical care and optimal patient outcomes.
  • •Monitor, document, and communicate clinical status and nursing interventions, escalating concerns when required, while ensuring infection prevention and control and surgical safety protocol compliance.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution and current unrestricted Registered Nurse licensure/registration in the country of practice.
  • •Minimum of 2 years of post-qualification clinical nursing experience, including recent Operating Theatre/Perioperative Services experience across a range of surgical specialties.
  • •Eligibility for DOH/DHA nursing licensure and certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Perioperative Nursing certification is preferred.
  • •Demonstrated knowledge of perioperative nursing practices, infection prevention and control standards, surgical safety protocols, patient assessment, and multidisciplinary teamwork in an acute healthcare environment.
