Job Summary

On-site Electrical Engineer for the Harold E Holt Naval Communication Station in Exmouth, supporting the VLF mission system and power systems. You will assist in fault rectification, electrical design, and sustainment, working with a multidisciplinary team to ensure regulatory compliance and mission readiness. NV1 security clearance eligibility and Chartered Engineer path are part of the role and development.

Key Responsibilities

•Electrical Engineer for the VLF Mission System, supporting the operation of the transmitter and associated equipment
•Support the Senior Electrical Engineer with power generation, power transmission and system sustainment
•Conduct technical investigations across a range of bespoke equipment
•Develop solutions that meet customer requirements within cost, schedule and quality constraints
•Liaise with the Engineering Manager on project issues and process engineering change in accordance with company and program procedures

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with professional engineering experience in electrical systems
•Ability to identify and resolve defects on a diverse range of electrical systems
•Willingness to become and maintain a Chartered Professional Engineer status via Engineers Australia
•Familiarity with Australian Standards (AS) electrical standards and preferably WA legislation
•Eligible to obtain and maintain NV1 Security clearance as needed
