Job Summary

Install and terminate audiovisual and low-voltage cabling for contracted projects, including rack fabrication, wiring layout, and troubleshooting AV systems on customer sites. Lead and mentor Level 1 and Level 2 technicians on larger, complex installs, interpret schematics/blueprints, test point-to-point cabling and system functionality, and coordinate with other trades. Support project documentation, equipment/tool management, and client training, with travel to multiple job sites as required.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform installation tasks for contracted AV projects, including cable pulls/terminations, equipment/components setup, and rack fabrication/wiring layout.
•Lead and direct installation crews on larger projects, mentoring Level 1 and Level 2 technicians and verifying quality of work.
•Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints, using hand and power tools to solder and crimp connectors.
•Test point-to-point cabling and system functionality, troubleshoot audiovisual equipment/systems, and support minor programming changes.
•Coordinate with the Project Manager and other trades, track and secure equipment/tools, assist with jobsite documentation, and support client training and return material authorizations.

Key Requirements

•4–6 years of audiovisual, electronics, or related industry installation experience.
•Advanced understanding of audio-visual systems (projectors, screens, speakers, microphones, video conferencing, digital signage, and control systems).
•Advanced ability installing, terminating, and troubleshooting low-voltage cabling (HDMI, CAT5e/6, fiber optic), including conduit runs and cable trays.
•Ability to interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints and troubleshoot AV system/network issues.
•Valid AVIXA CTS General Certification and a valid Driver’s License; high school diploma (or equivalent) required.
