Job Summary

We are hiring a Freelance Social Editor to lead and shape Family Style's new food-focused platform. You’ll manage day-to-day social output, craft an authentic voice, shoot/edit mobile-first video, source collaborators, and drive engagement across food, fashion, and youth culture—helping build the channel from the ground up with a night/weekend live-event coverage angle.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead the day-to-day output of the Family Style social pages and maintain posting cadence (10–15 posts per week)
•Develop a tone that is smart, culturally aware, and internet fluent, and ensure content is relevant and shareable
•Shoot and edit short-form video (mobile-first) and produce talking head and educational content
•Source chefs, collaborators, and contributors and collaborate with designers, editors, and leadership
•Track performance and engagement to refine content strategy and drive audience action

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 27 - 28 hourly

Key Requirements

•2-3 years of social media and editorial experience with a publisher or brand
•A deep understanding of the Complex content, voice, and tone
•Strong writing and communication skills, proofreading experience, and quick decision-making skills
•Ability to shoot and edit content independently
•Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Premiere Pro
