Key Responsibilities

  • •Supervise, train, and monitor assigned claims adjusters and other claims personnel; interview, hire, and direct staff.
  • •Review claims regularly for coverage and adequate reserves; act as a resource for claims questions and provide additional services as needed.
  • •Resolve coverage and unusual questions through research; review claim correspondence and recommend next steps.
  • •Handle claim complaints, inquiries, and legal papers served to ERIE involving claims action; coordinate with outside legal counsel.
  • •Contribute to initiatives supporting business strategy and serve on the Catastrophe Team with potential short-notice travel.

Key Requirements

  • •Completion of Associate in Claims (AIC) designation is preferred.
  • •Valid driver’s license required.
  • •Experience using estimating software and experience in a leadership role are preferred.
