Key Responsibilities

  • •Work with the Lead Lawyer to manage a caseload of complex injury claims, including high value multi-track and catastrophic injury and fatal claims.
  • •Communicate with insurer clients, handle their queries, and update them as the matter progresses.
  • •Conduct forensic analysis of voluminous quantum evidence, prepare chronologies, identify anomalies, and draw key issues for medical expert instructions.
  • •Draft technical advice on indemnity, liability, quantum, causation, and claims resolution for strategy discussions with the Lead Lawyer.
  • •Interview witnesses, draft statements and pleadings, instruct counsel, and attend conferences/mediation and court as required.

Key Requirements

  • •Qualified solicitor or CILEX, or proven relevant legal experience is essential.
  • •Experience of indemnity, liability (in an assisting capacity) and excellent attention to detail.
  • •Experience of indemnity, liability and quantum, including critical thinking and quantum analysis.
  • •Understanding of case law and litigation practice and process, including Court Practice Rules.
  • •Good telephone advocacy skills and strong written/verbal communication, including composing professional communications.
