Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the dbt project end to end, including transformations across layers, reusable macros, and shared modeling rules
  • •Consolidate scattered and legacy transformations into unified, standardized pipelines
  • •Enable and expand dbt tests and implement data quality checks across Silver and Gold layers
  • •Design golden-record determination and conflict resolution strategies for master and reference data
  • •Build and maintain the canonical data model and semantic (Gold) layer, including the data catalog and delivery of Gold outputs to internal consumers

Key Requirements

  • •4 to 6 years of experience as an Analytics Engineer or Data Engineer
  • •Expert-level dbt experience across modeling, reusable macros, tests, and project structure/conventions, with hands-on work across data sources like RDBMS and S3
  • •Strong SQL skills, including query optimization and understanding of indexes, partitions, and data layout
  • •Hands-on data quality tooling experience using dbt tests, great expectations, or soda
  • •Experience designing canonical/semantic layers with dimensional modeling and master/reference data golden-record logic
