Job Summary

Serve as the primary service and maintenance contact for Trane Technologies customers in a defined commercial market. Commission, troubleshoot, repair, and start up HVAC systems in customer locations, using air conditioning theory, pipe fitting knowledge, and mechanical layouts. Coordinate with team leaders and customers for on-site installation and repair planning, diagnose equipment using cutting-edge tools and hand equipment, and uphold safety and asset accountability while supporting occasional overtime, weekends, and overnight stays.

•Coordinate with team leaders/project managers and customers to understand on-site installation and repair requirements, forecasting issues, gathering materials, and synchronizing work.
•Provide direct customer service and own equipment/system performance on assigned projects by identifying, diagnosing, and repairing HVAC equipment at customer locations.
•Diagnose and repair HVAC units by using software/technology and hand tools while following blueprints or engineering specifications.
•Maintain flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed, including occasional overnight stays.
•Enforce safety standards and maintain security/accountability of company-issued and procured assets by recording use, wear, and condition.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or equivalent, with typically 5+ years of HVAC experience (technical school/formal training preferred).
•Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software and proficiency with a hand-held computer (e.g., smartphone, iPad).
•Valid driver’s license for at least 12 months with no major/frequent traffic violations, including DUI, hit-and-run, or reckless driving (or multiple smaller infractions) in the previous 3 years.
•EPA Certification.
•Ability to follow blueprints or engineering specifications to diagnose and repair HVAC units.
