Key Responsibilities

  • •Supervise, control, and ensure plant chemistry parameters remain within defined limits while maintaining environmental compliance.
  • •Ensure safety compliance by understanding plant safety hazards and complying with regulatory requirements, MSDS, P&IDs, SOPs, and emergency procedures.
  • •Maintain plant chemistry records and ensure chemistry activities are executed without risk to personnel, equipment, and the environment.
  • •Plan and manage chemical availability, dosing and testing equipment availability, preventive maintenance, calibration, and related reporting.
  • •Supervise and coordinate Chemical Section personnel activities, including providing on-the-job training and evaluating performance.

Key Requirements

  • •Master’s degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
  • •10+ years of experience in relevant plant chemistry responsibilities, preferably above 10 years.
  • •In-depth knowledge of applicable regulatory requirements and environmental compliance related to chemicals used in the plant.
  • •Knowledge of quality, Occupational Health & Safety, and Environment management system principles plus hazard and aspect impact assessment.
  • •Strong leadership skills and experience supervising personnel in the Chemical Section.
