Job Summary

Lead product safety and compliance activities for medical devices supporting innovative Sleep & Respiratory Care technologies. Interpret and apply IEC 60601 and ISO 80601 standards to product designs, and plan safety testing, risk assessments, and certification activities for respiratory care portfolios. Serve as a safety subject matter expert, support audits and accreditation, monitor evolving standards, and collaborate with engineering, quality, regulatory, manufacturing, and external partners. Onsite lab-support with in-person collaboration expected.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead product safety and compliance activities for medical devices across the product lifecycle, including safety testing support, risk assessments, and compliance decision-making.
•Serve as a product safety subject matter expert by interpreting and applying IEC 60601 standards to product designs.
•Plan, execute, and oversee product safety testing and certification activities for a portfolio of respiratory care products, working with external organizations.
•Support audits, inspections, and accreditation activities while maintaining and improving laboratory processes, procedures, and documentation.
•Collaborate with engineering, quality, regulatory, manufacturing, and external partners to resolve product safety challenges and drive continuous improvement.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 102,000 - 163,000 annually

Key Requirements

•5+ years of experience supporting product safety, compliance, and certification activities for medical devices in a regulated environment.
•Experience interpreting and applying medical device safety standards, including IEC 60601 and ISO 80601 requirements.
•Experience with product safety testing and working with external testing and certification organizations.
•Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Biomedical, or another Engineering discipline (Master’s preferred).
•Ability to perform minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation.
