Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead the strategy, evolution, and execution of Alpaca to scale with an AI-driven product organization.
  • •Extend the design system to support AI and agent product patterns, including runtime-adaptive components for chat and canvas experiences.
  • •Partner with product designers and engineers to define, document, and ship new components, patterns, and guidelines.
  • •Establish and evolve governance models, contribution frameworks, and quality standards for consistent design across AI-native surfaces.
  • •Drive adoption through education and tooling, represent the work in cross-functional forums, and mentor other designers while advocating for accessibility.

Key Requirements

  • •7+ years of experience as a product designer with significant depth in design systems, ideally within complex B2B SaaS.
  • •Deep expertise building and evolving scalable design systems, including component architecture, design tokens, and pattern libraries.
  • •Strong visual design foundation across typography, color, spacing, interaction design, and accessibility principles.
  • •Comfort operating in ambiguity and helping shape org structure where boundaries between Design Systems and AI/Agent work aren’t settled.
  • •Expert-level proficiency in Figma (variants, auto-layout, and design tokens) and experience publishing/managing shared libraries at scale.
