Job Summary

Lead the HR turnaround agenda for the Swansea plant by driving the local HR plan, strengthening engagement, reducing absenteeism, and improving flexibility. Partner with the Plant General Manager and Senior Management Team on people strategy, workforce planning, organisational design, and change management in a complex manufacturing environment. Own the full HR cycle and labour relations, including union engagement and UK employment law compliance, while developing the local HR team and aligning with the wider EMEA HR network.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead and deliver the HR plan supporting the plant’s recovery, improving accountability, reducing absenteeism, increasing flexibility, and strengthening employee engagement.
•Advise the Plant General Manager on people strategy, workforce planning, organisational design, and change management within a complex manufacturing environment.
•Own the full HR cycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, learning & development, compensation, payroll, and offboarding.
•Manage labour relations, including relationships with the GMB union and employee representatives, ensuring compliance with UK employment law.
•Lead and develop the local HR team while collaborating with the wider EMEA and Meat & Dairy HR network to share best practices and strengthen HR capability across the site.

Key Requirements

•10+ years of HR management experience
•Proven experience in plant or production-site environments
•Strong track record in labour relations, including union engagement and UK employment law compliance
•Previous people management experience
•Experience leading change management initiatives in complex, fast-paced organisations
