Job Summary

Set up, calibrate, and operate CNC machines in the machine shop to cut features into densified carbon material for production of carbon-carbon brake components. Perform daily inspections, calibration verification, and First Piece Inspection, and document out-of-spec conditions while following WI/SOP and Cardinal Rules safety policies. Work rotating 12-hour shifts on a 4-on/4-off schedule (day/night rotation every 6 weeks). Training is provided.

Key Responsibilities

•Set up, calibrate, and operate CNC machines used in the production process, with training provided.
•Perform daily machine inspections and calibration verification; follow weekly preventative maintenance.
•Use precision gauging tools (including CMM) to verify calibration (micrometers, calipers, and related tools).
•Follow First Piece Inspection procedures and identify/document out-of-spec conditions for quality and data integrity.
•Adhere to safety, environmental/health/safety, and company policies; participate in 5S/continuous improvement processes.
