Job Summary

Join SpaceX’s critical infrastructure team as a Commercial Plumber on the 2nd shift, maintaining and repairing HVAC, plumbing, and related systems in Hawthorne facilities. You’ll read schematics, perform ductwork, brazing and piping, and coordinate with engineers and customers to ensure continuous operations in a high-tech manufacturing environment supporting space exploration.

Job Function: Field Service, Maintenance & Skilled Trades

Key Responsibilities

•Collaborate with engineers, managers, and customers to maintain systems in peak operating condition and develop/update detailed work instructions for preventative maintenance.
•Maintain and repair HVAC support equipment on facilities systems including air handlers, chilled water, condenser pumps, cooling towers, valves, and filters.
•Perform ductwork modifications, brazing, soldering, evacuation & charging of various refrigerants, water piping, insulation modifications and repairs.
•Assemble, install, repair, and maintain pipes, fittings, heating, water, and drainage systems according to specifications and plumbing codes.
•Read and interpret schematics for assembly, repair, and reassembly; perform inspections, troubleshooting, reassembly and testing of mechanical equipment.

Key Requirements

•High school diploma or equivalent.
•3+ years of professional experience working with HVAC, plumbing, pneumatic, mechanical, or electrical systems.
•Technical certification, journeyman, or master in HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, or electrical systems.
•Must have a valid CA driver’s license.
•Ability to read, interpret, and understand technical language in specifications, schematics, and blueprints.
