Job Summary

Supervise and coordinate welding, plating, and piping activities during an onsite shutdown, ensuring safe delivery to tight outage schedules. Lead and mentor coded welders across disciplines (TIG, MIG, MMA, and pipe welding), run pre-work briefings, and review/approve WPS to meet project specifications. Coordinate inspection planning with NDT teams, maintain welding records, and liaise with project management, safety teams, and client representatives while maintaining the highest safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

•Supervise and coordinate welding/plating/piping activities during the shutdown period.
•Ensure compliance with industry standards including BS EN ISO 9606, ASME, and API codes.
•Manage and mentor a team of coded welders across multiple disciplines (TIG, MIG, MMA, pipe welding).
•Conduct pre-work briefings and toolbox talks with welding crews.
•Review and approve welding procedures (WPS), coordinate with NDT personnel, maintain records, and support safety and quality to agreed timescales.

Key Requirements

•Current welding/plating/piping qualifications (coded welder certification preferred).
•IWE (International Welding Engineer) or equivalent qualification.
