Job Summary

Category Manager for F&V in Qatar responsible for end-to-end category ownership (assortment, pricing, offers, and supply) for tMart, driving growth through assortment optimization, pricing strategy, and supplier management. Will lead cross-functional projects, monitor performance (sales, margin, P&L), and collaborate with Ops, regional teams, and suppliers to deliver a best-in-class grocery experience.

Key Responsibilities

•Own the category management for F&V including assortments, pricing, offers, and supply to drive category performance.
•Monitor and drive economic performance across sales, gross margin, and profit and loss in line with the company strategy.
•Ensure proper execution of commercial strategy and category plans, including pricing strategies.
•Provide input to Ops workflows, tools, and fixtures to optimize store operations and category presentation.
•Review and resolve supplier issues, negotiate terms, and manage local supplier relationships.

Key Requirements

•4-5 years of experience in Fresh Fruit & Vegetables (F&V) within the Qatar retail market with a proven track record of managing multiple product categories in a large retail or FMCG environment.
•Demonstrated ability to drive category growth through assortment optimization, innovation, and seasonal planning, including identifying new product opportunities and emerging consumer trends.
•Strong capability to analyze market trends, customer buying behavior, and competitor activities, ensuring competitive pricing within the Qatar retail market.
•Experience in monitoring supplier performance based on quality, service levels, pricing, and delivery — with the ability to review, negotiate, and resolve issues with local suppliers directly.
•Experience building teams and leading cross-functional projects at scale.
