Key Responsibilities

  • •Design and build platform services, tools, and workflows for contract-driven data publishing and consumption.
  • •Implement the first production publishing path using PostgreSQL publishing tables, Debezium CDC, Kafka topics, and DataHub catalog registration.
  • •Create GitOps-style workflows to review, validate, and reconcile data contracts, schemas, ownership, lifecycle, compatibility, policy metadata, and desired runtime state as code.
  • •Build tooling to provide product engineers fast feedback before publishing or changing data products.
  • •Operate and improve the CDC runtime model, including Kubernetes workloads, offsets and schema history, lag visibility, replay, resnapshotting, and recovery.

Key Requirements

  • •Build and operate production software in platform, infrastructure, backend, or data-intensive environments.
  • •Apply distributed systems fundamentals (reliability, idempotency, replay, eventual consistency, compatibility, and operational failure modes).
  • •Have practical experience with PostgreSQL (schema design, migrations, transactions, replication, or operational performance).
  • •Work with Kafka/event streaming and CDC tooling such as Debezium (direct Debezium experience is valuable).
  • •Build developer-facing tooling used by other engineers (CLIs, control planes, automation, CI validation, or self-service workflows).
