Key Responsibilities

  • •Create cloud workspaces with commonly used tools to support rapid assignment and reduce onboarding friction.
  • •Lead migration from on-premises infrastructure to cloud-based solutions.
  • •Automate provisioning for user intake, workspace creation, and core data access, including persona/configuration mapping.
  • •Build and configure Databricks workspaces in PreProd or Prod, including Service Principals, workgroup personas, access controls, and security configurations.
  • •Create and manage linked services, mount points, and integrations between Databricks and the VHA Data Lake; troubleshoot provisioning and workspace functionality.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 195,000 - 225,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree plus 12 years of experience in IT, engineering, or a related field (or commensurate experience).
  • •Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • •Expertise with cloud platforms (preferred: Azure) and Databricks workspace administration, catalog creation, mount configurations, and cluster setup.
  • •Experience with SQL Server/SQL Server admin, ETL, relational databases, and data lake architectures (especially Delta Lake).
  • •Ability to automate cloud provisioning workflows (e.g., Terraform, ARM, Bicep, PowerShell, Python).
