Key Responsibilities

  • •Review, approve, and transmit the biweekly US payroll for exempt and non-exempt regular and temporary employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • •Lead and support the Payroll Supervisor, serve as backup for essential payroll processing tasks, and train and mentor the supervisor.
  • •Oversee monthly pension payroll, including payment updates, beneficiary changes, direct deposits, tax withholding forms, and year-end reporting.
  • •Ensure compliance with federal, state, local payroll laws and union collective bargaining requirements; stay current on regulatory changes.
  • •Lead payroll transformation and automation using Workday releases; optimize Workday Payroll configurations, audits, troubleshooting, integrations, tax profiles/filings, and stakeholder reporting.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 155,000 - 170,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • •10+ years of experience in US payroll operations, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • •Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification.
  • •Strong, hands-on experience with Workday Payroll (configuration, reporting, testing, troubleshooting), including earnings codes and payroll tax updates.
  • •Expert knowledge of US payroll laws and tax regulations, with experience managing multi-state payroll and compliance.
