Support Next Gen Engineering by collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and test software and hardware tools for SSI automation. Key Responsibilities

•Design, develop, and test software and hardware tools with cross-functional teams to enable automatic scientific workflows.
•Onboard laboratory equipment onto the AISF platform by installing custom software and testing equipment processes.
•Validate equipment performance within automated infrastructure and ensure seamless operation.
•Document learnings, observations, and contributions for internal teams to review and iterate on.
•Contribute to additional engineering initiatives and special projects for the Next Gen Engineering team.

Key Requirements

•Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master’s program in a STEM field (e.g., Bioengineering, Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Science).
•Proficiency or strong interest in software development and programming.
•Experience with hands-on projects or prototyping that demonstrates technical curiosity.
•Ability to collaborate effectively in team environments.
•Nice to have: passion for lab automation and AI; experience with scientific equipment in academic labs; familiarity with bench science assays.
