Job Summary

Build and prototype full-stack software for XR product concepts in ByteDance’s PICO system prototyping team. Design, develop, and test preliminary and high-fidelity applications to validate agentic AI experiences across mobile, smart glasses, wearables, and headsets. Rapidly iterate features on Android and iOS as well as other platforms, partnering with product and hardware engineers to deliver demos and run user studies.

Key Responsibilities

•Design, build, and test software applications (preliminary to high-fidelity, low-fidelity) to validate AI and XR product concepts.
•Prototype frontier software for mobile, smart glasses, AR glasses, wearables, and headsets, including agentic AI on smart devices.
•Rapidly develop and iterate software on Android, iOS, Web, MacOS, WatchOS, WearOS, Linux, and RTOS to demonstrate early product features.
•Collaborate with product managers, software engineers, and hardware engineers to deliver innovative user experience demos.
•Conduct user studies, verify values, and influence key features for future products.

Key Requirements

•Master or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent.
•Solid experience on Android, iOS, Web, MacOS, WatchOS, WearOS, Linux, and RTOS.
•Strong software fundamentals and coding skills in Kotlin, Javascript, Swift, C, and C++.
•Strong front-end skills in UI/UX and user-oriented mobile and web graphics design; showcase released mobile apps.
•Some experience developing and applying agentic AI software.
