Key Responsibilities

  • •Own the site electrical safety program in accordance with NFPA 70E, including shock and arc-flash protection and electrically safe work conditions.
  • •Establish and maintain LOTO procedures, switching orders, and live-dead-live verification for UPS, PDUs, switchgear, generators, and battery energy storage systems.
  • •Lead arc-flash hazard analysis and incident energy studies (IEEE 1584), maintain equipment labeling, and define PPE and approach boundaries for AC and DC systems.
  • •Qualify, train, and audit electrical workers as NFPA 70E Qualified Persons, and deliver electrical safety training for operators, technicians, contractors, and partners.
  • •Investigate electrical incidents and near misses, perform root-cause analysis and corrective actions, and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related engineering field.
  • •3+ years of professional experience in electrical power systems, electrical safety, or critical-facility electrical operations.
  • •Direct ownership/administration of an NFPA 70E electrical safety program in an industrial, utility, or mission-critical environment.
  • •Hands-on experience in data centers or other high-availability electrical environments.
  • •Experience with arc-flash studies, short-circuit analysis, and protective device coordination using tools such as ETAP, SKM PowerTools, EasyPower, or equivalent.
