Provide strategic leadership and governance of the Safety Management System (SMS) across all airport operations, defining SMS strategy, overseeing implementation, and driving a Just Culture to ensure regulatory-aligned safety performance and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead SMS governance, policies, and the overall SMS framework; promote a Just Culture and accountability standards.
•Oversee hazard identification, risk assessment, safety assurance activities, and continuous improvement of SMS processes across all operations.
•Define SMS governance, roles, reporting structures, and coordinate with regulators and internal stakeholders.
•Act as the highest authority for safety risk management and SMS-related escalation matters; provide expert safety advice to senior leadership.
•Coordinate with SMS, IMS, AOCC, Airside Operations, Terminal Operations, and ARFF; oversee audits, governance forums, and safety communications.

Key Requirements

•Minimum 10–12 years of experience in aviation safety, safety management systems, or operational risk management.
•At least 5 years of experience in a senior managerial or leadership role.
•Advanced knowledge of Emergency Response Planning (ERP) and its integration with the Safety Management System.
•In-depth knowledge of Safety Management System principles and aviation safety practices; strong governance, risk management, and performance monitoring.
•Bachelor’s Degree and related technical certificates; excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
