Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain cost accounting and financial analysis systems for the plant, ensuring production costs (packaging, labor, overhead) are accurate.
  • •Manage financial accounting and payroll systems, including payroll administration and internal accounting controls.
  • •Provide regular internal/external financial reporting and forecasting; lead weekly/monthly forecasts and the Annual Operating Plan.
  • •Supervise plant performance reporting, inventory functions, and cost savings activities; develop business relationships with corporate and plant leadership.
  • •Drive SOX compliance by implementing controls, conducting audits, and collaborating with Plant Operations on continuous improvement.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent work experience); MBA/MA and/or CPA preferred.
  • •4+ years of supervisory experience in Finance and/or cost accounting; food manufacturing preferred with standard cost and variance reporting.
  • •Strong working knowledge of GAAP, fixed assets, general ledger accounting, payroll, and SOX/internal controls.
  • •Understanding of procurement, production, and finished goods delivery dynamics and how they impact profitability.
  • •Advanced Microsoft Excel; SAP and database systems knowledge preferred, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
