Job Summary

Join a full-service water design team in Seattle to support municipal and industrial drinking water and wastewater projects. You’ll lead and perform engineering design and hydraulic modeling, coordinate with utilities and agency regulators, and prepare plans/drawings, calculations, and quantity estimates. You’ll also help support scope, costs, budgets, and schedules, contribute to technical reports and presentations, and prepare/implement site Health and Safety Plans.

Key Responsibilities

•Lead and perform engineering design work for drinking water and wastewater projects in support of senior design engineers.
•Provide and/or manage water/wastewater engineering design services including studies, analysis, and design of treatment/distribution and collection/treatment systems.
•Set up, lead, and perform hydraulic modeling; develop modeling techniques, design requirements, and operating strategies for client and project needs.
•Prepare plans/drawings and design calculations/quantity estimates using tools such as AutoCAD, Civil3D, and Revit; coordinate utility relocations as needed.
•Support project managers with scope, costs, budgets, and schedules; prepare technical reports/presentations and implement site Health and Safety Plans (HASPs).

Key Requirements

•Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering focused on Water Resources (or closely related).
•3 to 5 years of relevant post-education experience in water resources engineering.
•Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification.
•Knowledge of water/wastewater design and related areas including stormwater, hydrology, hydraulics, watershed studies, and floodplain delineation.
•Ability to coordinate with agency regulators and prepare permit applications, with strong communication skills.
