Job Summary

Lead and scale the Local Shops (Grocery & Retail Marketplace) vertical across 8 markets, owning regional P&L and driving GMV, gross profit, and NCR investment performance. Manage key strategic accounts through Joint Business Plans and QBR governance, and align operations, content, and inventory/fulfillment strategy to commercial outcomes. Oversee talabat Pro vendor penetration and Health & Beauty category scale-up, while building and leading a high-performing team of two.

Key Responsibilities

•Own the regional Local Shops P&L and country reporting lines across 8 markets, including Instashop UAE and Egypt.
•Drive strategic account management: grow GMV, improve gross profit, and optimize NCR investment efficiency via JBPs and QBRs.
•Own regional LS GMV/GP/NCR targets and develop commercial strategies balancing growth and profitability with corrective actions.
•Co-own inventory management and order fulfilment/shopping journey enablement with regional Ops to align operations and commercial outcomes.
•Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of 2 direct reports while coordinating regional governance and cross-functional execution for talabat Pro, Health & Beauty scale-up, and new vertical expansions.

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, Economics, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
•Minimum 10 years of experience in commercial, account management, or business development roles within marketplace, grocery, retail, or e-commerce industries.
•At least 3–5 years in a senior leadership role with regional or multi-market scope.
•Proven track record managing large strategic accounts and delivering against GMV, GP, and investment efficiency targets.
•Strong understanding of marketplace economics, vendor commercials, and P&L management; experience leading category expansion and new vertical launches is preferred.
