Job Summary

Join WSP’s Alaska team as a Senior Geologist, supporting multi-disciplinary projects across Alaska for industrial/commercial clients, agencies, and federal partners. Build and maintain client relationships, supervise geologists, and plan subsurface field programs including geotechnical drilling and test pit explorations. Analyze hydrogeologic and geologic data, develop conceptual models, oversee sampling and instrumentation, and write geotechnical/geologic reports, proposals, and studies while mentoring junior staff.

Key Responsibilities

•Build and maintain long-term client relationships by providing technical expertise, attending client meetings, and leading project development pursuits.
•Supervise and manage geologists conducting geologic and/or geotechnical investigations.
•Plan and manage subsurface field geologic exploration programs, including geotechnical drilling and test pit explorations.
•Interpret geologic and hydrogeologic data to develop conceptual geologic models and write geotechnical/geologic reports.
•Provide direction and oversight, mentoring junior staff, and conduct research plus proposal and report writing.

Key Requirements

•B.S. or higher in Geology, Geophysics, Hydrogeology, or a related discipline.
•5 or more years of geology (or related) consulting experience.
•Be willing to work in the field collecting geologic data across varied terrain and weather conditions.
•Excellent communication and writing skills, with demonstrated report writing ability.
•Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
