Job Summary

Lead structural simulation work to support product development and qualification. Build and validate finite element models using ANSYS Mechanical/Thermal, run linear static, nonlinear, fatigue, dynamic, modal, and thermal-structural analyses, and interpret results to recommend design improvements. Partner with Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Testing, and Project teams, prepare technical documentation, support design reviews, and contribute to failure investigations and continuous improvement of modeling standards and methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop, validate, and execute finite element analysis (FEA) models using ANSYS Mechanical, Thermal, and related ANSYS applications.
•Perform structural assessments using linear static, nonlinear (elastic-plastic), fatigue, dynamic, modal, and thermal-structural coupled analyses.
•Interpret simulation results and recommend design improvements to optimize performance, manufacturability, reliability, and cost.
•Collaborate with Design, Manufacturing, Testing, and Project Engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
•Prepare technical documentation including engineering reports, analysis summaries, calculations, and design recommendations.

•Significant experience in Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and structural engineering.
•Proficiency with ANSYS Mechanical and ANSYS Thermal for structural analysis applications.
•Strong understanding of strength of materials, structural mechanics, elasticity/plasticity, and fatigue & fracture mechanics.
•Experience developing high-quality finite element models (meshing, validation, convergence) and interpreting complex simulation results for stakeholders.
