Key Responsibilities

  • •Partner with production and design to accelerate delivery rate, improve designs for assembly/testing, implement linear production flow, and maintain work instructions and automation targets.
  • •Create design criteria, select architecture, size for force margin, perform structural analysis, generate part drawings, run qualification testing, present reviews, and monitor hardware performance.
  • •Reduce component-caused delays and target zero in-flight anomalies by leading root-cause investigations in the factory and on the vehicle and implementing fixes.
  • •Define hardware capabilities and per-unit acceptance test plans under flight-like conditions, and develop automated test systems with reliable, failure-coaxing infrastructure while operating energetic equipment safely.
  • •For individual parts, define manufacturing strategy, implement DFM feedback, perform CNC programming, select cutting tools, prove machining processes, generate inspection plans, and enable lights-out machining.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or physics.
  • •1+ years of mechanical and/or fluids engineering experience via project teams, research, internships, and/or professional experience.
  • •Graduating in Fall/Winter of 2026 or Spring/Summer of 2027.
  • •Hands-on experience from industry or collegiate vehicle/robotics competitions in fluid systems, high-voltage systems, electronics, or instrumentation.
  • •Strong foundation in solid mechanics, fluid dynamics, and manufacturing processes.
