Key Responsibilities

  • •Design, install, and qualify new automation/process equipment.
  • •Troubleshoot day-to-day production and equipment/process problems, including tool down, yield, and quality issues, and prevent repeat problems.
  • •Manage small to medium-sized capital equipment projects, including concept/layout/design details for automation and material handling processes.
  • •Perform process simulation modeling and design/execute planned process experiments; collect, analyze, and report experimental data.
  • •Develop and maintain drawings, process specifications, standard operating procedures, and process control plans; maintain MH metrology/sensors/cameras and adhere to safety standards.

Salary: USD 68,800 - 98,000 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Associate’s degree in engineering (or similar technical discipline) with 3+ years of First Solar technical experience, or 6+ years of technical work experience in a Manufacturing setting.
  • •Bachelor’s/master’s/Ph.D. in engineering (or similar technical discipline) with no experience required (degree + experience preferred).
  • •Use statistical data analysis and structured problem solving approaches (fishbone, five why, DMAIC, SBAR).
  • •Demonstrate mechanical/automation equipment troubleshooting skills and proficiency generating/managing FMEAs.
  • •Strong oral and written communication skills, including ability to write manufacturing documentation and maintain required records.
