Key Responsibilities

  • •Provide proactive and strategic leadership for Stormwater, Resilience, and Water Quality within the Mid-Atlantic region.
  • •Perform engineering review of permit applications, design plans/specifications, standby plans, integrated waste management plans, and construction inspections.
  • •Lead larger, more complex engineering projects, overseeing budgets, timelines, hours/expenses, and performance of subcontractors and teams.
  • •Represent the discipline/liaison to federal, state, and local agencies, clients, subcontractors, industry groups, and government/community entities.
  • •Mentor staff and manage performance guidance for business sector staff, while supporting proposal efforts and business development opportunities.

Salary: USD 168,900 - 323,300 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering with a focus in Water Resources (or closely related).
  • •15+ years of relevant post-education experience in water resources engineering.
  • •Virginia Professional Engineer license required (multi-state preferred).
  • •Advanced proficiency with water resources engineering principles and practices, including environmental permitting and project work.
  • •Strong working knowledge of environmental laws, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements.
