Key Responsibilities

  • •Manage sourcing and release activities for exterior parts, issuing POs for prototype and production components.
  • •Partner with Engineering and Supplier Quality to identify and qualify suppliers that meet program timelines.
  • •Create RFQs, analyze supplier quotations, and develop sourcing recommendations balancing cost, quality, lead-time, and technical factors.
  • •Negotiate contracts for parts procurement and engineering services, and maintain supplier relationships for commercial issues.
  • •Drive supplier development and parts availability timelines, resolving delays, and provide regular internal sourcing and engineering change updates.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field (or relevant experience in lieu).
  • •5–8 years of experience in Purchasing, Supply Chain, or Engineering for automotive exterior parts and/or resins.
  • •Deep knowledge of parts manufacturing processes, should-cost analysis, and cost models across design, launch, and engineering changes.
  • •Strong understanding of plastic injection, welding, glazing, assembly, and other relevant manufacturing processes for exterior parts.
  • •Prior automotive parts launch experience and proficiency with Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Word, and ERP systems (SAP or equivalent).
