Job Summary

Fabricate and repair electronic cable assemblies and printed circuit card components for customer support at an onsite facility. Work independently on routine troubleshooting, testing, and repair tasks, assembling cables, replacing defective modules, and operating automatic test equipment to isolate faults. Follow schematics, wiring and layout diagrams, and work instructions to construct equipment, while meeting physical and safety requirements and being available for multiple shifts as workload dictates.

Key Responsibilities

•Independently maintain, troubleshoot, test, and repair problems in single-layer printed circuit cards and other limited-complexity equipment.
•Assemble cables and remove/replace defective components, modules, and assemblies identified as defective.
•Operate automatic test equipment programmed to a chassis or circuit card to isolate or locate defective components.
•Follow detailed schematics, wiring diagrams, layout diagrams, and work instructions to construct chassis and electronic equipment components.
•May work on the depot and while on TDY to CONUS and/or OCONUS locations.

Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

•Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.
•Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
•Must pass a pre-employment Cable Test Evaluation/Exam.
•Must have knowledge of electronics theory and applications and be able to perform cable fabrication training and testing.
•Experience with tinning, American Wire Gauge (AWG), soldering various metals, and interpreting drawings/blueprints to fabricate and repair components; IPC certification ready and soldering that complies with IPC 7711/7721 standards.
