Job Summary

Operate heavy equipment in the asphalt plant area to move, load, and handle aggregate and related materials safely. Perform pre-operational checks and routine equipment maintenance such as cleaning, lubricating, and refilling. Grade and manage earth/rock/gravel materials, assist the Plant Manager with materials handling and equipment usage, and apply traffic and safety rules. Keep records and provide oral or written reports while working outdoors for extended hours.

Key Responsibilities

•Operate heavy equipment to excavate, move, load, and grade earth, rock, gravel, or other materials safely.
•Conduct pre-operational checks and perform basic maintenance such as cleaning, lubricating, and refilling equipment.
•Assist the Plant Manager in coordinating materials handling and equipment usage.
•Use knowledge of heavy equipment and machinery capabilities to support maintenance and construction tasks.
•Maintain traffic/safety compliance, keep records, and provide oral or written reports.

Key Requirements

•3 years of experience in public works maintenance and/or construction work, including at least 1 year operating a variety of heavy equipment.

•Knowledge of traffic and safety rules and safe operation practices for heavy equipment.
•Ability to keep records and make oral or written reports.
