Key Responsibilities

  • •Fold, rig, and pack parachutes for human and cargo spaceflight per SpaceX policies and procedures.
  • •Support development of new packing/rigging procedures for new projects.
  • •Perform build reviews and drive improvements to product quality and reliability.
  • •Conduct in-process, final, and post-flight inspections; identify and document non-conformances according to procedures.
  • •Validate incoming parts and materials to approved drawings/specifications and maintain calibrated testing equipment, coordinating re-calibration on time.

Key Requirements

  • •High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • •2+ years of inspection or technician experience in an aerospace, military, or manufacturing environment.
  • •Ability to perform meticulous procedural work and understand quality assurance principles, methods, and processes.
  • •Experience with parachute systems (large or cargo canopies preferred) and the ability to interpret technical drawings.
  • •Senior Riggers License - FAA or military equivalent (or similar experience with high-consequence procedural inspection work).
