Key Responsibilities

  • •Conduct development and research on cutting-edge CV, NLP, multimodality, LLMs, and generative modeling.
  • •Track SoTA progress in relevant fields and translate ideas into production.
  • •Develop and support model lifecycles from training to deployment and maintenance.
  • •Apply trained models in business scenarios for TikTok recommendation outcomes.
  • •Collaborate with multiple teams within the Recommendation organization to align on skills and interests.

Key Requirements

  • •Completing or recently completed a PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, or a related field.
  • •Experience in one or more areas of computer vision, natural language processing, and machine learning.
  • •Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with at least one major deep learning framework (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, MXNet, Caffe/Caffe2).
  • •Familiarity with deep neural network architectures such as transformer, SSM, CNN, RNN, or LSTM.
  • •Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
