Job Summary

Maintain and improve the BEUMER Individual Carrier System (ICS) used in airport baggage handling, supporting reliable, continuous flow with minimal downtime. Diagnose faults across mechanical, electrical, and control subsystems, respond to interruptions, and perform preventive and corrective maintenance. Monitor system health via diagnostic tools and dashboards, maintain detailed logs, and participate in upgrades, retrofits, and continuous improvement initiatives while following safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform routine and advanced maintenance on BEUMER ICS components, including diverters, scanners, and interfacing third-party equipment.
•Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control subsystem faults using structured troubleshooting.
•Respond to system interruptions (carrier jams, sensor faults, control logic errors) with resets and root cause analysis.
•Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance aligned with BEUMER standards and OEM documentation.
•Interface with BEUMER SAC and PLC systems to monitor performance, execute logic-based interventions, maintain maintenance logs, and support upgrades/retrofits.
•Adhere to Health, Safety, and Quality Control standards, including lockout/tagout and PPE requirements.

Key Requirements

•Associate degree or technical certification in mechatronics, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
•5+ years of hands-on experience in automated material handling systems, preferably in airport or logistics environments.
•Must be eligible to obtain and maintain airside security clearance.
•Deep understanding of mechatronic systems, including sensors, actuators, motors, and controls.
•Proficiency with BEUMER SAC systems and PLC programming (Siemens preferred), plus fault diagnostics and industrial communication protocols (Profinet, CANbus, fieldbus).
