Job Summary

Install audiovisual systems for AVI-SPL projects, performing cable pulls/terminations, rack fabrication and wiring, and equipment layout. Lead and direct installation crews on less complex projects by coordinating with the Project Manager and communicating daily site status. Interpret schematics and blueprints, use hand/power tools to solder and crimp connectors, test point-to-point cabling, secure tools/equipment on site, and act as the customer liaison while coordinating with other trades.

Key Responsibilities

•Perform installation tasks including cable pulls, cable terminations, system component/equipment installation, and rack fabrication and wiring.
•Read and interpret project system schematics and architectural/construction blueprints.
•Use hand and power tools to solder and crimp connectors; test point-to-point cabling and system functionality.
•Track, manage, and secure equipment and tools on the jobsite; initiate return material authorizations as needed.
•Lead/coordinate installation crews on smaller projects, communicate daily job site status to the Project Manager, and serve as customer liaison on-site.

Travel: Medium travel

Key Requirements

•2-4 years of audiovisual installation experience.
•Ability to use hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
•Knowledge of complex wiring configurations and/or signal flow for audio, video, control, and network systems.
•Ability to use and understand required test equipment and follow installation safety codes and standards.
•Valid driver’s license and a motor vehicle record that meets AVI-SPL driving privileges standards.
