Job Summary

Interpret and perform diagnostic and therapeutic radiology procedures within the Radiology Department’s scope. You will review general radiological examinations and, within training and clinical privileges, perform fluoroscopy, special procedures, angiography, ultrasound, radioisotope studies, CT, and MRI. Partner with physicians and technologists, participate in rounds and quality improvement programs, provide on-call emergency coverage, and support orientation of new technologists and radiologists.

Key Responsibilities

•Serve as a diagnostic radiological consultant to physicians.
•Interpret general radiological examinations and perform/interpret fluoroscopy, special procedures, angiography, ultrasound, radioisotopes, CT, and MRI within training, experience, clinical privileges, and Chief of Radiology approval.
•Participate in physician conferences and rounds.
•Work with technologists and instruct them on specialized views and patient positioning for unusual or difficult cases.
•Provide on-call emergency coverage, participate in quality improvement, and support orientation of new technologists and radiologists.

Key Requirements

•Graduate of an approved Medical School with a valid license to practice medicine, or certification by the American Board of Radiology, or possession of FRCR (Canada) or the English FRCR (or equivalent).
•Specialized training or 3 years’ experience as a practicing radiologist.
•Excellent command of oral and written English; knowledge of Arabic is desirable.
•Thorough knowledge of medical ethics, including maintaining work confidentiality, inspiring patient confidence, and adhering to organizational bylaws/rules/regulations.
•Current licensure in the country of origin and with DHA license to practice in Dubai, U.A.E.
